Quran classes that suit Australian time zones
Australia is far from many Quran academies, and the time difference makes live classes hard to arrange. Our teachers are available around the clock across time zones, so a lesson can be at a sensible hour for you, for example after school in Sydney or early evening in Perth.
Australia has several time zones. Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra are on eastern time and change with daylight saving, Brisbane is on eastern time all year, Adelaide and Darwin are on central time and Perth is on western time. Tell us your city and we confirm every class in your local time.

Fitting classes around school terms and work
Families often book after school, early evening or on weekends. During school holidays you can ask to move lessons to the daytime. Daylight saving in Australia starts and ends at different times from the Northern Hemisphere, so for a few weeks each year the gap between your time and a relative’s abroad changes, which is another reason we always confirm the time in your local clock.
If your plans change, you can reschedule with 24 hours’ notice at no charge. This is useful for families who travel between cities or have sports and activities on set days.
Free tools for Muslims in Australia
Use our Qibla direction finder for your exact bearing. From Sydney the Qibla points about 278°, which is west, measured clockwise from true north, because the shortest route to Makkah from Australia heads across the Indian Ocean. You can also check prayer times and the Islamic calendar.

Frequently asked questions
Can my child learn after school in Australia?
Yes. After-school and early evening slots are normally available. Tell us your city and preferred days when you book the free trial.
Do you have classes for adults in Australia?
Yes. Adults can begin with Noorani Qaida or continue with Tajweed, Hifz or translation. See Quran classes for adults.
How do you handle Australian daylight saving?
Class times are confirmed in your local time. Because daylight saving differs between states, tell us your city and we will check the time when the clocks change.
Is the Qibla really west from Australia?
From Sydney the bearing is about 278°, which is just north of west. The shortest route follows a great circle, which is why the direction can seem surprising on a flat map. Use the Qibla finder for your exact location.
Are prices in Australian dollars?
No. Plans are priced in US dollars at $29, $49 and $79 per month. You can pay by credit or debit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
Is there a free trial class?
Yes. The trial class is free with no commitment, and paid plans come with a 7-day money-back guarantee.
