Quran classes that fit American life
The USA spans several time zones, and families are busy with school, work and activities. Our classes run on Zoom and are available around the clock across time zones, so you choose a time that works for you, whether you live in New York, Chicago, Houston or Los Angeles.
When you book, tell us your city or time zone. We confirm every class in your local time, so there is no confusion when the clocks change in spring and autumn.

Choosing class times
Many American families book classes after school on weekdays or in the morning on weekends. Adults often prefer early mornings before work or evenings after dinner. Eastern and Pacific time are three hours apart, so a class that is at 6 pm in New York is at 3 pm in Los Angeles, which is worth remembering if relatives in different states want to coordinate.
If your child already attends a weekend Islamic school, one-to-one lessons can add focused practice on reading and memorisation. And if your schedule changes, you can reschedule with 24 hours’ notice at no charge.

Our Qibla direction finder shows the exact bearing from your location. From most of the USA the Qibla points north-east: about 58° from New York, 49° from Chicago, 45° from Houston and 24° from Los Angeles, measured clockwise from true north. You can also check prayer times for major American cities and the Islamic calendar.
